Using LogicLoader to boot Linux 1602 12
Started by TomCooksey
I noticed that the more recent LogicLoader updates for the i.MX31 LITEKIT indicate it is able to boot Linux.
I've updated my LogicLoader to the latest (2.3.5-IMX31_10) version. However, it doesn't seem to recognize the "-t" option to the exec command, regardless of what I do, I get the following:
Can't parse '-t'
error&58; exec&58; bad argument 1&58; -t
Have I got my wires crossed here Is Linux only supported by LogicLoader on other boards I haven't actually got a Linux kerne...

Linux LITEKIT Audio ((and LCD) (and more...)) 2574 5
Started by Deleted User
I spent quite a bit of time yesterday evening tweaking w/ printk statements before realizing that the mxc_spi for the audio was not being initialized. In the end, I think it was just one line of code that got everything loaded and working along w/ setting the right Kernel config options. I just got the LITEKIT and am new to Linux Kernel, so excuse me if this is obvious and/or old news, but I just wanted to share my experiences.

RSRVD2 and RSRVD3 pin of Atlas 1413 1
Started by Deleted User
Hi all,
I'd like to have a clarification about the pins RSRVD2 and RSRVD3 of Atlas.
In the new silicon revisions, they are used to configure switching regulator mode (single/parallel) however in the schematics they are left open, so it seems these schematics are not correct for new silicon revisions. Am I right
Thanks in advance.

WinCE display driver auto display shutdown 1569 0
Started by Deleted User
The iMX31 Windows CE 5.0 display driver, starting with version 0.4.0 (lpd_imx31_ipu_imx31_50_0_4_0) includes power management functions. This means that when you go into suspend, the backlight and LCD will be disabled to save power.
One thing that also happens, is that Windows CE will automatically use a system timer to put the display into a 'idle' mode. Any interrupt will wake the display back up.
This may catch a few people off guard and there is a way to disable it.
By default, it i...

WindRiver BSP 1841 9

Does anyone here use the Linux BSP from WindRiver We just got the i.MX31 LITEKIT, and now we are trying to load this BSP onto the board.
I followed the instructions from LogicPD in updating the LogicLoader, though I have been browsing documentation for the LITEKIT, and I am not really seeing some specifc area where it tells you how you load a BSP using LogicLoader...Basicaly I am a newbie in this and dont really know how to move forward from here.
Even if its not a WindRiver BSP, Id be happy ...

How to access MMC (SD card) with Linux? 4071 9
Started by Deleted User
I'm having problems trying to access a SD card with linux.
I'm using linux 2.6.19.2 ADS plus LITEKIT patches.
dmsg doesn't show any event on card insertion.
No device node is created either.
Do I need to create the device node manually
Something like "mknod /dev/mmcblock0 b 254 0"
This is strange, because in message http://www.logicpd.com/support/tdg/viewtopic.phpt=1135
zonque reported that he tested MMC successfully.
Some more info:
The boot log shows that the MMC is init...

linux MTD NOR support 1459 0
Started by Deleted User
FYI: NOR support requires enabling Intel/Sharp flash in the kernel configuration and the following adjustments to the following file:
rpm/BUILD/linux-2.6.19.2/arch/arm/mach-mx3/mx31lpd.c
"Kernel" .size = 512 * 1024 * 3
and
mxc_flash_resource .end = 0xa0000000 0x00200000 -1
The lpd board has 2MB of NOR flash, the first 512kB dedicated to LoLo, and the remainder available for use.
The boot message will look like:
MXC MTD nor Driver 2.0

UART no longer works on iMX31CSOM 1245 1
Started by npejcic
Hi,
I understand that there is a change to the iMX31CSOM module. It applies to the ability to see the yafts partition on it. There also must be some other changes to it since I load the same bin file I created for the old small modules to the new small module and the UART no longer works. Basically the question is what changes have been made to the small CSOM module that effects the UART
Thanks,
Nick

Register/Development Docs 1299 1
Started by Deleted User
I have the schematics for the pins. This is my first time working with this board, so I am trying to figure out the different registers, and the sample program didn't really help me with understanding.
What I need is a document explaining what signals need to be sent to what pins to use different components of the board.
For example, I am looking to take advantage of the Random Number Generator Accelerator, has anyone used the RNGA before I just basically havent found much documentation on it...

Starting questions i.MX31 1260 1

Hello,
We would like to develop an application on the i.MX31. But we don't know much about it.
Currently, we are working with 8bit microprocessors. It's used for automation and visualisation, and the whole appliction is programmed in C ( Using the Keil IDE).
But now the MX31 is a 32bit processor, and we also want to develop an application for that.
The question is, what do we have to choose The winCE bsp or the Linux bsp,
As for WinCE, you can develop applications using the .NET framewo...
