    Hello,

We would like to develop an application on the i.MX31. But we don't know much about it.

Currently, we are working with 8bit microprocessors. It's used for automation and visualisation, and the whole appliction is programmed in C++ ( Using the Keil IDE).

But now the MX31 is a 32bit processor, and we also want to develop an application for that.

The question is, what do we have to choose? The winCE bsp or the Linux bsp,

As for WinCE, you can develop applications using the .NET framework and the Visual Studio 2005 IDE, but how do you develop applications under Linux?

Is there a GUI like VS2005? Or how does this work? In wich languages can we program then?

The mainpoint of the application is a visualisation and interaction on a TFT touchscreen..

Can someone help me out with the question? It's really important for us, as we really need to use the 32bit proc.

    Thank you at advance,

    Alexander

    Alexander,

You have asked a lot of excellent questions. However, I don't think that this forum is the best place for them. The Technical Discussion Group is a pretty loose operation.

I think that Logic can offer you some very valuable assistance here. We have over 60 years of experience and over 100 engineers on staff. We typically do over 200 projects per year for about 100 different customers. Our modules are used in applications as varied as gaming, medical monitoring, industrial control, and automation.

Furthermore, we are used to helping out organizations in the exact position that you are in. Groups that are making a large technology jump.

Many customers in your position engage Logic under a support contract to simply investigate available technologies and make recommendations for their application.

I think you should contact our sales people via the website. They will talk to you about what your project and plans are and can recommend an appropriate level of help.

Best regards and we hope to hear from you soon,
    --mikee
