Flashed image and bootme failure 1674 12
Started by mpinton
Hi,
I built the webserver configuration as an image for flash successfully, downloaded and burned it. I then issued the appropriate exec command to start up the wince boot and it booted fine, I could point my browser to the IP I had statically assigned and saw the Logic image/page. However, when I tried to experiment with the 'Connecting to Images Already Stored in Flash' portion of the app note, after making the necessary changes to PlatformBuilder , and resetting the target device, configuri...

How to Enable/Use of Serial Port In CE App 1291 1
Started by dchermak
I have a simple test application that opens up a comm port and echoes back what it receives. This works fine in the emulator. But when I try to run it on the target, I don't get any loopback.
My first attempt exited with an error because I was using COM1, which apparently gets used by the USB for active sync. So I switched to COM2. No error, but no loopback either. I know the connection is good, because I can talk to LOLO before I boot CE. I have KITL turned off in the image, but I guess someth...

change to static IP from DHCP in Webserver app 1455 2
Started by mpinton
Hi,
I followed the recipe outlined in the whitepaper 'Building a WinCE Image on the LH7A400-10' that creates a headless image with http & telnet support. I successfully built a a debug image, downloaded, and could use PB tools to inspect various things. However I couldn't connect to the IP I thought I had assigned due to the problem noted in the whitepaper with a DHCP server reassigning a new IP to the board. I decided to try to _disable_ DHCP but have had little luck:
- i am not using th...

automatically starting up Wince boot 1331 2
Started by mpinton
Hi,
What's the mechanism to automatically have a board boot WinCE without having to manually do so In otherwords, once there's an image programmed in Flash, if reset is pressed or power applied, how do I automatically get the board to boot up into WinCE
I know you can add to the 'exec' line in /dev/serial_eeprom the starting address of where the image is located, along with all the other bootline parameters, but how do you automate the 'source /dev/serial_eeprom' part of it
TIA,
/michel

Problem installing BSP into Platform Builder 1351 7
Started by Ian Armitage
Hi,
I'm trying to import the BSP into Platform Builder but for whatever reason the BSP isn't showing up in the catalog. I ran the LoCE_A400_rel_101.msi successfully. When the BSP didn't show up I tried to manually load it but it the cec file was already in the list and I got an error saying that it was already imported.
Any ideas as to what I can do next or what I did wrong
One possible problem is that I'm running the eval copy of Platform Builder.
Thanks
Ian

How to Relocate from Flash to SRAM 1329 3
Started by dchermak
Greetings.
I remember from the training class that it is possible to relocate the image from Flash to SRAM to help speed things up execution-wise, and the particular application I am working on needs all the speed it can get. So I was wondering how this was done. Looking around I noticed people discussing the use of the C flag in BIB files, but they seem to be talking about induvidual applications, not the whole image.
Thanks,
Dale

Relocating from Flash to SRAM (Repost?) 1375 1
Started by dchermak
I posted a question on this topic yesterday, but it never appeared in the list, so I am posting it again. I apologize for the repost if the other one appears.
I would like to relocate my entire image from Flash to SRAM in order to get the best performance. I looked over my notes from the training class and checked out various KBs and news group posts, but I am still not clear on how to do it exactly. I know things can be marked in the BIB files with 'C' but that seems to address individual file...

No debug ethernet irq specified 1297 2
Started by Ian Armitage
Hi,
I'm at the point of booting an image when I get this output:
Debug enet initialized. Using driver 91C111
Debug enet base read as 0x70000000
Debug enet base mapped to virtual address 0xBFE00000.
No debug ethernet irq specified.
No debug ether driver selected, loading without debug ether support
Firmware initialization complete.
I booted using the boot string from the BSP quickstart guide.
The board got an IP address just fine via DHCP.
Thanks

Reconnect issues Windows CE 1313 4

I have installed the patch that I thought was supposed to fix this issue or a similar one.
Here is the command I enter onto the target device before loading t...
