I purchased a Sharp SDK with the 400-10 card engine. I managed to download the BDK from quickplace.sharpsma.com and when I tried to build it I get a make error.

Any ideas anyone. I am using Gentoo Linux

    devraj,

Thanks for the post. Unfortunately, since Metrowerks is in charge of their own Linux BDK, I can't offer much in the way of help.

However, Logic has done a significant amount of work with a gentleman named Marc Singer. Marc has done a _ton_ of work getting the main Linux kernel releases supported on our boards. Marc's website is: http://www.buici.com/projects/ and I believe that you can reach him via email at elf@buici.com.

I couldn't give anyone a higher recommendation than Marc. So, send him an email and see what he has to say.

    Best regards,

So are there any alternative Linux solutions that people are using?

    devraj,

Marc Singer has worked on getting support for the LPD boards into the official Linux ARM kernal patches. So, if you go to his website, I believe that he has those patches posted as well as instructions on how to build a Linux kernel for the boards from the standard sources. Any questions beyond that, you can probably just contact him.

    Regards,
