The audio chip supports both stereo and mono outputs. Does the driver support enabling the mono output or simply use the stereo?

    Thanks

    Rich,

Good question, thanks for asking it. Currently, the audio driver converts everything to stereo. This was done for various reasons, the most important of which is maintaining a consistent interface between the DMA controller (DMAC) and the audio codec.

You are free to play mono-formatted wave files however, be advised that they will be converted to stereo and will be played as such.

If you _really_ need mono output for some reason, you should contact our sales and support team and they can build you a version of the driver that does that. Depending on what you want to do, they can probably do some optimizations in it as well.

    Best regards,
