2 Replies and 1494 Views Truble Using Embedded Visual C 4  1494  2 Started by  Bob Carleone Hello all, Is there anyone with insight on how to use embedded Visual C 4 to debug an application I checked with the Microsoft Documentation any I think we are approaching it correctly. We connect using platform manager and use platform manager's connection to communicate. We can connect to the Zoom from VC but when we build the app it(VC) tries to download the file and we get an error that means the platform is incompatible. We tell VC to continue anyway it copies the executable to the targe...

5 Replies and 1877 Views Trouble Building_a_Webserver_with_the_LoCE_BSP.pdf  1877  5 Started by  cborax Greetings, Has anyone had trouble with the white paper 'Building_a_Webserver_with_the_LoCE_BSP.pdf' on the SDK-LH7A400-10 . The 'losh> ifconfig sm0 dhcp' does work and the board does respond to a ping before I load CE. Once CE.NET 4.20 boots the board won't respond to a ping or my HTML browser . TELNETD won't start either. The only discrepancy I noticed is that losh> ifconfig reports :sm0: up 100M half-duplex (415) but the figure 18 in the pdf shows 100Mbits full-duplex Any sugge...

0 Replies and 1609 Views serial_eeprom and boot script not functioning properly  1609  0 Started by  Anonymous If the boot script does not appear to be functioning properly, first view the serial_eeprom to verify the script has been entered correctly. The serial_eeprom contents can be viewed using the following command (Refer to Logic Loader User Manual for more information). Loading consecutive boot scripts into the serial_eeprom through LoLo has been shown to corrupt the boot script. The first script is loaded immediately in front of the second, hence LoLo doesn't know where the first ends and the s...

0 Replies and 1606 Views Toggling Slow Peripherals Chip Select 6 lines  1606  0 Started by  Anonymous The LH7A400-10 IO Controller Spec provides instructions for using the Slow Peripherals Chip Select 6 (CS6) area: CompactFlash (CF), ISA-like BUS, Reserved On and Off board memory blocks, and open memory blocks. As the IO Controller Spec states, the address range of this area is 0x6000 0000 - 0x63FF FFFF. The CPLD decodes processor address lines uP_MA21-uP_MA25 into SLOW_nCS, CF_nCE, and nAEN. The decoding process takes: ISA address range --> nAEN line will toggle Compact Flach address...

0 Replies and 1683 Views Unable to get DHCP-based IP address  1683  0 Started by  Deleted User I'm following the Quick Start guide for the WinCE BSP, and I execute the following Losh (1.2.2) command 'ifconfig sm0 dhcp'. When I check my Redhat 6.0 server, I am receiving the dhcp request and sending an ACK for the appropriate IP address, yet the board never seems to accept it. I do have a couple of switches in the loop as well. When I manually set the IP address, all seems to work pretty well, although the IP connectivity seems a little iffy at times. Any suggestions Thanks, Marc

4 Replies and 1566 Views Deploying from Visual Studio.Net 2003 via ActiveSync?  1566  4 Started by  skochan Anyone, I wish to start development wih VS.Net 2003 using ActiveSync to deploy. So far I have successfully created a Mobile Handheld device with the 12.1' display and graphical shell (release - no debug) - no problem. I've added the ActiveSync, KITL, and TCP/IP Transport features to the build. In addition, I've edited the lpd_LH7A400_USBF_beta_001.reg file to 'StartRepllog'=dword:1. What appears to happen is that the Repllog crashes silently even when run manually from Platform Builder. On...

0 Replies and 1771 Views Using the WinCE LCD controller device driver.  1771  0 Started by  Deleted User All, Several people have contacted Logic wondering about using the LoCE BSP to build a Windows CE image which includes a display and graphical shell. I am currently working on several white papers that cover building various configurations of the CE operating system. I hope to have these up and posted in the next couple of days. However, for those of you who wish to move ahead with development, please follow these instructions: The key to getting the display driver to work correctly lies withi...

0 Replies and 1688 Views WinCE Ethernet Download to kit without Local Area Network  1688  0 Started by  Anonymous You don't need to have a DHCP-server/LAN combination in order to use the Zoom Starter Kit's Ethernet connection. For example, if the evaluation unit is connected to a Windows 2000 workstation that is not connected to the LAN. You can use an Ethernet cross-cable to connect the kit directly to your workstation. To do this, give your workstation a static IP address using the Windows 'Network Connections' control panel applet. Then connect the Card Engine to your workstation with the Ethernet cross-...

0 Replies and 1895 Views ARM-elf or Greenhill-elf downloads  1895  0 Started by  Anonymous The following question was submitted by hansr to the LH79520-10 site. It applies to the LH7A400-10 as well. Refer to the LH79520-10 post for original. question: How do I get elf files generated by ARM or Greenhill tools to download to the development kit Answer: The ELF loader needs to know the address in memory where it should place the incoming binary file. The Greenhill and ARM tools place this information at the very end of an ELF file. When downloading over a non-random access dev...

0 Replies and 1658 Views reading and writing to user area of Fast Peripherals Chip Se  1658  0 Started by  Anonymous Question: I was planning to look at the timing characteristics of the external memory I/O by writing a small piece of assembly code to read and write to the user area of the Fast Peripherals Chip Select. I modified the 'hello' example to read and write to address 0x73000000 which is defined in the IO controller Interface Specification on the installation CD. However, the LogicLoader produces an 'everything went wrong' screen when I do a 'jump' to the code. Is this address correct Is the C...
