The zoom sdk application board provides a compact flash slot. This slot has A0 wired to the cf interface. The a400 memory controller when configured to be 16 bits wide in this memory area changes the functionality of A0 such that it becomes another nWE (write enable) signal.

I would like to implement a fast method to load our product image on the card engine. The output of platform builder is the NK.bin file which is created with the romtools. During development we are loading this file using platform builder and either running out of RAM directly or burning it to flash.
For mass deployment as well as field upgrades, we would prefer to have another mechanism.

load command only suports elf and srec, what about bin 1391 1

The standard output of a Platform Builder build is the NK.BIN file.
This is neither an ELF nor an srec file.
Without using the Platform Builder/bootme model, is there a way to download the nk.bin file to the target and burn it to flash

I know that any driver for the 91C111 has to force a strobe of the 91C111's chip select between reads/writes so that it doesn't go all wonky on you. The standard practice for generating the strobe seems to be a read of FLASH memory.
But... is there another device / physical memory area I could read instead of FLASH I ask because I may be running into an issue where network activity occurs while I'm trying to program the FLASH, and I'd rather not have spurious FLASH reads occur during my writ...

Hi,
I am writing some code for a software spi interface (its funny spi 15 1/2 bits)..
I am having some problems with a timing issue..
In GHS muti 2000 if i write a small piece of code eg
time=0
set_rtc(time); // set rtc to zero
print(time); // dump rtc value on lcd
i=1000000;
while(i--); // wait 20,000,000 cycles
time=get_rtc(); // shoud be 1 second or less... getting 5 seconds at 200mhz
print(time); // dump rtc value on lcd
and the clocks are setup for max speed set_clock_speed(C200_100_50)...

Another hardware engineer and I were working back in January on trying to get the USB RESET detect circuitry on the ZOOM SDK working with the LH7A400 card engine.
The problem was that when the USB cable is unplugged, the ARM gets stuck in an infinite loop in the interrupt handler for UIR:URINT (bus reset detect).
We finally figured out the problem. For some reason we don't understand, the designers of the SDK wired the gate of the P-channel MOSFET, which controls the pull-up on the USB DP lin...

Just checking to see if anyone here has had any PPP over serial experience...
What is the process to set up a PPP direct connection over one of the UARTs in Windows CE I think I have included all the necessary components in my platform, but no UARTs show up when I try to make a New Connection via direct connection in control pannel.
Also, I would like to have the connection established on start up.

Has anyone else noticed that the wired lan is not electrically isolated on the LH7A400 ZOOM SDK The reference schematic for the 91C111 shows an isolation transformer between the RJ-45 connector and the IC. There is no such transformer on the ZOOM SDK.
It also looks like the line impedence is not matched. The impedence for RJ-45 twisted pair is 75 ohms. The terminators used on the ZOOM SDK are 50 ohms.

The Card Engine (CE) HW Spec, section 2.4 indicates that the CE uses a standard 3-wire MMC interface (Command, Clock, and Bi-Directional Data).
Section 5.4.3 of the same spec, shows that pin 49 of expansion connector J1B is for MMC SPI mode chip select. What is the relevance of this line if the CE only supports MMC mode

Hi, i have just bought the lh7a400 starter kit and the 3.5' lcd,
I also have the ashling Opella JTAG( and it works fine...)
I have a few problems i can't seem to solve..
1) Is there a usb lib if so where is it!!!
2) Is there an ethernet lib same...
3) can the CF be run in IDE mode... i would like to connect a harddisk, if not what other options do i have
Final product needs...
LCD 3.5' touchscreen
32MB sdram
MMC in MMC mode
SPI device
IDE hardisk/cdrom using level converters...
USB
32MB...

I've posted a patch and binary for BLOB that runs on the LPD7a400-10. I haven't tested it with a kernel as I don't yet have one. Someone has written to the list stating that he has a 2.4 kernel that works. I'm working on a 2.6 kernel which should be booting RSN.

I am running windows CE .Net (4.2). I need to operate one of the UARTS at 460800 bps to connect to an external sensor. I know that the UART is capable of this but when I query the Com device for capabilities it only reports up to 115,200 bps. Can I request 460.8 kbps using the existing lpd_LH7A400-10_UART_beta_003 device driver and operate at this speed If it is only limitted by design choice and not by capability could this be added to the driver

I'm attempting to write a Windows CE device driver and I need to find out the memory mapping used in OEMAddressTable in your Windows CE OAL part of the BSP. Specifically I need to know the region with cache and buffering disabled. Right now I'm assuming it is 0xA0000000 to to 0xBFFFFFFF

Hi all,
We are facing a problem while powering up the board SDK-LH7A400-10.
We are not getting the prompt on the tera terminal as per the user manual.
We have done the settings according to the manual to as follows:
Baud Rate: 115200
Data Bits: 8
Stop Bit: 1
Parity: None
Flow Control: None
Even the jumper settings are in Normal Mode.
On power up the STATUS LED 0 glows.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
