    Hello,

In the new series of -31 Torpedo Wireless modules that we ordered from Digikey, we noticed that several of them have the same MAC address for WiFi module. This is not good since several devices should operate in the same network. Is MAC address unique for all torpedo modules? Can we change MAC address? How this can be done in Linux environment?

    Regards,

    Dragan

    Dragan,

Please check your 102xxxx part numbers against those listed in Errata E0047.  Click here for information how to locate the part number.

Here is a list of affected part numbers:

    1021711

    1021817

    1021881

If they match, this is a known issue.  Please return the affected SOMs to received an updated MAC address by placing an RMA request on the Logic PD's website.

Details on the E0047 errata can be seen in the DM3730/AM3703 Torpedo + Wireless SOM Errata Hardware Documentation.

    Regards,

    Brad

    Hello,

Our part number on modules that have same address is 1024184 (written on device label), although when we read
    cat /sys/class/product_id/part_number
    it says
    1023758
These part numbers are not listed in errata.

cat /sys/class/product_id/serial_number return the same as written on device label.
    MAC address is 00:08:ee:08:bd:38.

    Dragan,

Based on the information you provided, I agree this issue is unrelated to the previous errata.   Using the information on the label of your SOMs can you please provide me the serial number of your affected SOMs?

Click here for information how to locate the serial number.

    Thanks,

    Brad

    Dragan,

Thanks for getting back with me with the additional information.  I have one more request.  Can you please take a picture of the label on the bottom side of each SOM and send them to us?  I will send you an email from Accellion which will allow you to upload the pictures.

Then please send in the SOMs through RMA so they can be reprogrammed.  Click here for the instructions to return the SOM.

    Thanks,
    Brad
