4 Replies and 84 Views Accessing SPI on DM37xx dev board - Linux  84  4 Started by  Pratik Saripalli I am new to the platform and I am a little overwhelmed by the documents and I am having trouble getting my spi sensor to work. I&39;m running Linux 12.04 on the Torpedo with BSP 2.4-4. have been using spi-test as a base to try to understand and connect to my sensor. Initially i could not get spi-test to run the Acitivity board on SPI3 so I changed the dev to "spidev1.1" so that is would work on SPI1 and connect the SPI_CS1 for the chip select. I am then trying to modify the code...

0 Replies and 164 Views DM3730 USB OTG with 1.1 Speed Storage  164  0 Started by  Joshua Pagnotta I am having issues when attempting to transfer a file to a storage device connected to the USB OTG port running at "full speed (1.1)". The drive shows up correctly when it is connected to the system and I am able to view the files that reside on this drive. When I attempt to move a file from the rootfs to the external storage drive everything connected to the USB OTG is disconnected and does not recover. This happens every time for USB 1.1 storage. The same attempt with a USB 2.0 stora...

1 Replies and 195 Views Channel 11 WiFi not working  195  1 Started by  Joshua Pagnotta We tried to update our hostapd config (we use the wireless performance base config for the BSP) to run on different wifi channels but noticed when trying channel 11 it does not work (we never see an SSID broadcast). It&39;s not readily apparent why this channel does not work as there are no errors indicating an issue, it just doesn&39;t create a WiFi network that we can see. Does channel 11 work with on the Torpedo SOM with the wifi performance BSP config

2 Replies and 346 Views Camera devKit 5640 with DM3730 Torpedo Kit  346  2 Started by  Swathi CA Hi, We want to connect a OV5640 camera board(https://www.waveshare.com/ov5640-camera-board-a.htm) to the DM3730 Torpedo Kit via camera connector. 1) Looking at the schematic, the camera input pin on the 26-pin connector is 5V but the OV5640 accepts 3.3V voltage.Hence planning to power 3.3V externally(from outside) to the OV5640 camera board. The other data lines and SCL,SDA line will be conencted to the  DM3730 Torpedo Kit. Can we go ahead with this approach 2)...

I haven&39;t found default values in any of the literature. Can anybody point me to the proper document Or perhaps provide numbers from their own experience I&39;m working with the DM3730 Torpedo.

0 Replies and 257 Views Future Torpedo SoM Iterations?  257  0 Started by  Kevin Farley I heard a rumor that there was consideration to make a "Torpedo SoM 2" so-to-speak. A second iteration of sorts which would have newer / better specs and support full features (i.e. DSP) for newer kernels etc. Is this true Are there any plans for a new system iteration of similar design to the Torpedo SoM If there are such plans would it include DSP integration for newer kernels And when would such a product potentially release

4 Replies and 1315 Views Datasheet of Jorjin WG7550  1315  4 Started by  Deleted User Hi, Is there any possibility to get datasheet of WiFi module Jorjin WG7550 which is used on -32 Torpedo versions We are in certification process and lab asked us for datasheet of WiFi module itself. We asked Jorjin directly, but they told us that they provide us datasheet only if we are going into mass production with their module. Thanks. Regards, Zile

5 Replies and 352 Views Wattson on Ubuntu 16.04 or 12.04  352  5 Started by  Steve Postlewait Hi, I was able to get Wattson running successfully on Windows, but am hoping to get it running on 16.04 or 12.04 (it says it&39;s only compatible with 10.04). I am able to get the program running, but all of the text/images display as gibberish - a bunch of rectangles instead. Does anyone know the specifics of which packages, etc. I might need to get Wattson working on those platforms Thank you!

2 Replies and 288 Views Restore LoLo aftet installing uboot to NAND  288  2 Started by  Rob Birkner Hello, I&39;m trying to get some DM3730 SOMs restored to the default setup after they have been setup to boot from NAND using u-boot.  I&39;ve tried creating an SD card with the LoLo MLO file and lboot.elf, as described in the LoLo labs, but when I try to boot from the SD card there is no response.  (I used the proper SD formatting tool and copied the MLO first.)  I can erase the NAND and boot using an SD card with the u-boot MLO, but not LoLo. The example you had given under the topic Mainstream DM37x Linux (shown below) could not have been correct in that expected values for s...
