You'll find a working BLOB and 2.6 kernel patch on this page. http://www.buici.com/projects/arm/lpd7a400 Note that neither this BLOB version nor the kernel version is compatible with those published by Metrowerks.

I've updated the BLOB patch to correctly initialize SDRAM. The original code, while it worked, was doing the initialization incorrectly. This version seems to make the system run faster. Also, there is an updated kernel patch that fixes a spurrious interrupt problem with the network driver. <http://www.buici.com/projects/arm/lpd7a40x>

I've added support for Compact Flash. You can use a CF card as a root filesystem. The driver is not ready for production, but it ought to be helpful for development. <http://www.buici.com/projects/arm/lpd7a40x>
