I am running windows CE .Net (4.2). I need to operate one of the UARTS at 460800 bps to connect to an external sensor. I know that the UART is capable of this but when I query the Com device for capabilities it only reports up to 115,200 bps. Can I request 460.8 kbps using the existing lpd_LH7A400-10_UART_beta_003 device driver and operate at this speed? If it is only limitted by design choice and not by capability could this be added to the driver?

    Thanks

    rdubrawski,

The A400 UART on the SDK _should_ run fine at 460800 baud. Originally, I made a mistake when I originally coded the driver. Basically the Sharp documentation that I was using said that it couldn't run at this speed, so I never implemented it in the driver.

One of our other engineers did the beta_003 release of that driver which fixed a couple of items. I'm looking into whether or not this was one of the items which was suppossed to be corrected (I thought it was).

I'll get back to you as soon as I find out. Either way, it won't take us long to fix.

    Best regards,
