    Dear LogicPD support team,
we are recording live audio through a microphone using the Torpedo internal codec. The microphone is connected to the MIC_IN (J31.24) pin ( see image: https://db.tt/uztzNrhQ ).
The recording has been made with the following command:
    # alsa_arecord -d 10 -f S16_LE -r 44100 filename.wav
There is a constant background electrical noise in the recordings.

    We have recorded two samples:
    1) with microphone plugged: https://db.tt/GIbPiw9a
    2) without microphone: https://db.tt/peI6ZPbJ

The noise is present in both the recordings.

Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

    Hello,

    1. Have you checked the bias on the mic input?

    2. From your picture it looks like the microphone is powered; is that correct?
