Hello ... new user ... our hardware is on order with Arrow, so do not have access to doc's pre-registration.

Designing a custom Torpedo (DM3730) carrier (or base) board, and very simply, looking for Torpedo DM3730's power requirements. Did not see in hardware reference manual OR in power management doc.

Looking for 3.3VDC @ ____ mA (typical, max, etc.) I understand that the SOM can source current to 1.8V loads, so looking for a worst-case draw at this time to size DC/DC's.

    Thank you.

    Steve -

If you want a kit faster - Arrow has one of the -20 kits. This would not include the Torpedo + Wireless SOM, but you could buy one of the SOMs when they are released. Other disti's may have the -20 version of the kit as well.

I'm trying to find some generic power numbers. Would the kit running the base Win CE 6.0 or Android image be good enough?
    Thanks
    Richard

    Thanks Richard.

Left you a voice message with my email. We'll be running embedded Linux. I've seen both TBD's in the reference manual relative to power requirements, and also with searching online last week, a hard number: 3.3V @ 300mA.

    Is this in the ballpark?

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Steve,

I had your correct email in my CRM system. I sent you some preliminary power numbers on Friday at 2:40 CST. Did you get them?

I would be very interested in that exakt same info, ____ mA @ 3.3V.

    bo.mellberg@physio-control.com or here.

    Thanks,

    Bo,
After you register your Torpedo kit, you will be able to access all our documentation on the Torpedo+Wireless download site [1]. Power numbers are available in three different locations. We have power numbers in the Hardware Specification [2] but those numbers aren't the latest. For the latest numbers, check the Test Results release for the specific BSP you are interested in. For example, the Linux BSP test results can be found here [3] within the Test Plan Log, the power numbers section starts on page 18. Finally, once you have setup the baseboard to emulate your design requirements, you can measure power consumption for your configuration directly using Wattson [4]. Wattson can measure power dozens of times per second, allowing you to capture any initial current spikes during reset and boot.
