    With the i.MX31 I can debug Windows CE 5.0 applications using ActiveSync and eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 over the OTG port. However, I cannot debug with VisualStudio 2005. Has anyone else run into this?

    I get a message box "Unable to start debugging". Connection and deployment seems to work fine.

    Output:
    1>------ Deploy started: Project: test_1, Configuration: Debug sample_image_imx31 (ARMV4I) ------
    ========== Deploy: 1 succeeded, 0 failed, 0 skipped ==========

    I have connected and debugged on other CE 5.0 devices via a serial ActiveSync connection with VisualStudio 2005, so I believe it is configured properly. I have ActiveSync 4.5 installed.

    I also have been able to copy output .exe files from VisualStudio 2005 to the i.MX31 and run them without a problem.

    I am booting the sample NK.BIN file and am using the SDK which installs support for the sample_image_imx31 (ARMV4I) platform and LoCE ARMV4I BSP_Release bsp.

    Any thoughts?

    I just installed and applied VisualStudio 2005 updates and service packs this week, so it should up to date. Again, it works fine with other Windows CE 5.0 devices after I install their SDKs.

    Is there an alternative way to connect via Ethernet for application debugging with the sample NK.bin file? How about the other serial connections?

    Thanks,
    Kurt
