I built u-boot from the patches from the support website.

I put this on an SD card from a Beagle board (that works) replacing the beagle u-boot with the dvk version. This booted ok, I saw some u-boot messages, but never got to the u-boot prompt.

So I replaced mlo with the mlo from the sample card supplied with the kit. Now Nolo reports it can't load the boot image.

Is there any docs on getting the board to boot from the SD card? Is there a specifc mlo I should be using?

    Thanks,

    Philip

    Philip,

Please review the FAQs for the 35x kit.

There are specific tools and files that need to be used to properly format the SD card to boot.
    Thanks

For the beagle board (and overo), people have worked out the required geometry for the SD card formatting. You might want to look for the info and add it to your document.

Where do I get MLO? if I am using u-boot, how does mlo know what to read?

Worst case, I'll try the HP program again, but we moved past that need months ago for other OMAP3 boards.

    Philip,

You can always go to Linux and do it the way the Zoom2 guys worked out. http://omappedia.org/wiki/SD_Configuration
TI has a programmer that they will include with the AM3517 WinCE BSP. Hopefully that will be open source and can be posted.

    Thanks
