    Hi

During our investigations into the Bluetooth performance of the DM3730 Torpedo module, we have come across numerous references on these technical forums to potential errattas for the DM3730 Bluetooth interface.  Currently we are achieving low data rates of around 5KB/s for the Bluetooth interface using RFCOMM and are concerned that we are being affected by a potential erratta issue.

Firstly, is there an update to the 'known issue with the oscillator on the SOM' that is mentioned in this post? http://support.logicpd.co...aft/105/Default.aspx

Is this in any way related to the L0002 erratta mentioned here? http://support.logicpd.co...ft/1505/Default.aspx  If so is there a copy available for download?

If there is a known issue open currently, is there a list of affected DM3730 SOM's available? I can provide module references if needed.

    Thanks for your help

    Chris,

The errata you've referenced have been fixed in a newer model of the Torpedo + Wireless SOM that was released last fall. You can identify the assemblies with the Bluetooth performance improvement by looking at the model number. Any models begining with SOMDM3730-31 or SOMAM3703-31 have the errata fix implemented.

The older models with the Bluetooth performance errata started with SOMDM3730-30 or SOMAM3703-30.

The white paper found at this link http://support.logicpd.co...talid=0&EntryId=1378 will help you identify where to find the model number on the SOM label.
