I couldn't achive going from run mode to standby mode and also from standby mode to run mode with a button. I need to do the suspend-resume funtionality with a button instead of software. Can you help?

Could you provide a bit of more information about the software you are using?

If you happend to be using Windows CE, please try using the following driver:
    lpd_LH7A400_Pwr_Btn_rel_103 (or most current version)
Information is provided in the driver's .reg file.

Yes, I'm using Windows CE. I have looked at the registry file and changed standby mask as said to be worked with Rev B card engines.
The application I need is to put a button(like the ones in PDA's) to close the screen and put the processor in standby mode. Then with the same or other button I want to card engine to totally wakeup from this process.
Let me try to explain what am I doing, maybe you will notice something wrong. What I'm doing is selecting the driver from third party driver list, and selecting add to platform. Then to put the processor to standby mode, I'm touching the SOFT_RESET pin to the ground. The WinCE seems to dissapear but I can't wake it up by touching to screen. Also I can't restore it with pressing to WAKEUP button in the SDK.

Mike A, have you looked at this more? The driver he is using should work. By hitting the standby button, Windows CE should go to sleep. You should be able to wake it up using the touch screen.

Michael good to hear you again,

I can only manage it by tapping suspend in Win CE and then hitting the touchscreen. But I want to do this with an external buttton like the one in a PDA. I want to push it for making the LH7A400 to enter standby mode, and push it again to wake it up.

    Thanks,
    Sertaç

Love to see the solution for this because this is similar to how we want our device to work.

Mike A contacted me yesterday and said he was going to take a look at it as soon as possible.

As far as I know, the power button driver works as expected. I know it worked for me when I wrote it and I believe other customers are using it without issue.

    Sertac,
I believe what you want to do is use the nSUSPEND signal off of the card engine. You should find that if you use this driver and put a 'low' signal (GND) on this pin it will go into suspend. You can give this signal another 'low' signal to come out of suspend. You can also touch the screen, etc.

Hope this helps. Let me know if it doesn't get you to where you want.

    Thanks,
    Mike A.

    Michael,

Thank you very much. Your solution has worked perfectly. I can go into the standby mode then wake up by giving a ground pulse to the nSUSPEND signal. What I was doing wrong is that I was trying to wake the processor up by using WAKEUP signal.

    Regards,
    Sertaç
