I see that perf source exists in the linux/tools directory however there no binary built.  Is there a configuration option in ltib Kernel Configuration that will force that to be built with the Kernel?  If not how can we go about enabling perf for our system?

I spent some time on this yesterday, so I may have to see if I can enlist one of the software developers. I'm hoping to have an answer for you later today.

Compiling perf requires some libraries to be cross-compiled. I think I have the elfutils library cross-compiled, but I am having some issues with Perf itself now.

I'll keep you updated as I make progress.

I e-mailed you some files through our Accelion system. Were you able to receive those and try them?
