Thanks Bruce,
I see there is a "load elf/tftp/my_server:my_file" command example. I assume that this a TFTP file transfer? would TFTP support
error detection?

yes, tftp will do a CRC on each packet, and report the error (or hang) iif a packet never shows up. it will insist that the packets show up in order.

Hi Bruce,
To interrupt a script at power-up, the user can force a ‘q’ character on the serial port. Is there any other method of stopping a power-up script using the Ethernet port?

Not directly. You could use the boot script to source a script off of the tftp server that set an environment variable . Then you could do a test on that environment variable later on in the boot script. Now you could change the boot behavior by editing the script located on the tftp server.
