Hi, we are looking for the EOL information for the SOMDM3730. The latest documentation notice (1028895B) that I could find pertains to the obsolescence of a specific Micron part and not to the actual SOM per se.

In the document you reference, the table in section 1 lists the various discontinued part numbers of the SOMDM3730-10 that are impacted in the first column, and in the second column, it lists the their respective replacement versions.

Is there a specific part number for which you are looking for information?

The SOMDM3730-11-2783IFCR-A is not EOL. It replaced the SOMDM3730-10-2782IFCR-E part which was discontinued.

The SOMDM3730-11-2783IFCR-A has the new micron NOR flash part. We have a migration document located: http://support.logicpd.co...talid=0&EntryId=3191

This document describes a little more detail software changes that may be required for people who were using the NOR flash. If you're not using the NOR flash, the change probably won't affect you. The NAND flash is unchanged.

If the link doesn't work, you may have to log into the support site, then it should work.

    Hi Adam,

My apologies for not the confusion I may have created in my earlier reply. What we are trying to understand here is the product life cycle information of the SOMDM3730-11-2783IFCR-A. If Micron will not issue any discontinuation notice on the new NOR Flash part in the foreseeable future, for how long will this SOM be available?

    Thanks,
    Brennan

As of right now, we're expecting the whole family of product to last to 2023. We're not planning on product changes between now and then. We moved to this NOR flash part because of its expected longevity. It's all subject to change per our component vendors, but that is the data we have from our vendors now.
