    Hello out there,

    we are new in ColdFire development and have started with the Zoom ColdFire SDK and the Zoom 6.4" Display Kit. As you know the SDK comes with the USB BDM Interface from P&E Microcomputer Systems.
    Provided that the problem does not sit in front of the computer screen and between my ears, from the included documentation I deduce that the correct orientation of the BDM Interface in respect to the SDK board is as shown in the included picture. This however would collide with the stand of the display.
    If my assumption is correct, how do you all resolve this design flaw? Using standard IDC parts to build an extension from the SDK to the BDM does not solve the problem either, because a regular 26-pin IDC connector on the SDK board would collide with the DB9 CAN/UART connector next to the BDM/JTAG header.
    If I am wrong, PLEASE call my attention to it.

    Kind regards from a ColdFire newbie,
    Peter[attachment=0:m5bm0t40]<!-- ia0 -->P1000557.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:m5bm0t40]

    Peter,

    Do you use Ethernet often in your development work? You could turn the board 180 degrees and add new mounting holes way up at the top of the display.
    The power cable would be OK but ethernet would be tight...

    We designed the mounting holes mostly for trade shows, so we could have the board up out of the way.
    Thanks

    Richard
