Q: What is the pin orientation on the DM3730 Torpedo, AM3730 Torpedo SOMs for pin 1,
    Pin 2, even, odd pins?

    A:
The Torpedo SOMs are generally too small for standard silkscreen information.
The verbal description below has orientation instructions for determining the Pin 1,
even, and odd pins on the Torpedo connectors.

The silkscreen on the baseboard of the DM3730 kit shows the pin orientations.

    J1, J2 Orientation:
Looking at the bottom of the Torpedo SOM (with J5 beneath and to the right).
J1 is upper connector (called “upper side”),
J2 is the Lower connector (called “lower side”).
Pin number 1 for each of these connectors is on the upper-left side.
Pin 2 is on the lower-left side of the connector.
The even pins are on the lower side of the connectors.
and the odd pins are on the upper side of the connectors.
Pin 99 is on the upper-right side.
Pin 100 is on the lower-right side.

    J5 Orientation:
Orient the Torpedo SOM with the DM37x facing up and the circuit board cut corners to the left.
The J5 ETM connector will be facing up, to the right, with the J1, J2 connectors facing down.
J5 should be on the top and to the right of the Torpedo SOM.
The “top side” of J5 is nearest to the LCD,J3 connector on the baseboard) and
the “bottom side” of J5 is next to the “LogicPD” silkscreen on the Torpedo SOM.
Pin number 1 for J5 is on the top-right side.
Pin 2 is on the top-left side.
Pin 39 is on the bottom-right side.
Pin 40 is on the bottom-left side.

The silk screen on the ETM debug connector shows the pinout for J5.
