In an attempt to get one of my handful of Type I CF cards to work with the M5329EVB, I keep getting this erase command message, no matter what portion of the CF card is accessed:

    losh> erase 0x30100000 0x001fffff
error: erase: image does not fit in flash (addr: 0x30100000)

A 64MB card was inserted at the time.

I cannot find any documentation regarding this error message.

    1) Is there more info on this?
    2) Is this directly related to the bus timing violation issue?

    Hi Brad,

Sorry for the confusion. Writing to a CF card is not enabled in LogicLoader whether through the 'cp' command or direct manipulation of flash with the 'erase' command.

Hope this clears that up. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

If I am missing something in the documentation, let me apologize up front. What procedures can I go through to determine if I can write successfully to the CF card? I can read from it via the x command.

    Hi Brad,

I should have been more specific. Writing to the CF card in any form in LogicLoader is not enabled.

    Thanks,

OK, is that a feature to be eventually included in a future relase of LoLo? Thanks for your help.

    Hi Brad,

No, there aren't any plans currently to add this support to the CF driver in LogicLoader.

    Thanks,
