I believe there is a trace missing from +5V to Pins 3/54 on J11 on some of the
M5329EVB baseboards. There is no +5V on that connector and the display
does not light up. When I jumper +5V to that connection everything works
    normally.

I can't see where that trace is connected in the board layout either.

The sticker on the back of the board has the following numbers

    Model Num - 1004544Rev1

A second board with the same Rev number but a different serial number had the same problem.

    Regards,
    Matt

    mwaddel,
You are correct. There was a PCB manufacturing error on that lot of PCBs. This PCN explains the work around.

If LogicPD know about this, why isn't there an errata in the box, or one published to http://www.logicpd.com.

    Or did I miss it??

    Hi,
The LogicPD Product Change Notification captures the affected product, error or change, work around, and future solution -- similar to a Freescale Errata document. It also dictates Customer Notification procedures based on affected product model numbers and revisions.

Product Change Notifications are available on our website to customers who have registered their kits. In this case, the link posted above is the PCN document:
    http://www.logicpd.com/do...17/1005272_Rev_A.pdf

Registered kit customers are also sent email notifications of future PCN documents specfic to their product, Logic Loader, and LogicPD supported BSP updates.

If you do not have a kit to register, send a request to productsupport@logicpd.com and they can help you out.

    HI All,

Freescale have published this PCN on their website, too. Go to www.freescale.com and type in M5329EVB at the Part Number search. Follow the link that returns, and you'll see M5329EVBPCN.pdf for download halfway down the page.

Those of you unfamiliar with the terminology need to remember

    Freescale Errata = LogicPD PCN

Once you've made the modification to the base-board, the EVB and LCD combination is just FANTASTIC.
