    Hi ..

I'm using this coldfire 5485 board -- I'm following the instructions in the CDK QuickStart step by step, and found these problems --

    1. The ITX board LED D14 starts blinking as soon as I connect a serial cable, and totally shuts off after a while. The case is the same when I first connect the cable, set TeraTerm and then give power supply.

    2. I've other board where this problem isn't there, but, the Debug monitoer never shows up after we connect the board to the PC ..

Pls lemme know if anyone knows the solution ... Is the kit defective??

Connect the serial cables to the product before applying power to the development kit.

When power is applied, dBUG will send text through the serial cable to the terminal program. By default dBUG serial rate is set to 19200 buad. Ensure your terminal emulation program is set accordingly.

If you are still having problems, make sure you are using the correct COM port on our PC and the correct UART connector on the development kit.
