I see several replies about the stepping issue with gdb and the BDM packaged with the lite kits. I realize the one provided by logic and accompanying the kit is a third-party device, according to several posts dating back 2 years with issues with this BDM.

So I'm wondering if maybe the issue has been identified or resolved? Has nobody at logic tried to step wtih the provided BDM using GDB? Is there some more details about why it won't step properly? There is a gdb hack out there to simulate a step but it is a poor solution.

Maybe somebody at logic knows what third-party bdm would work well with gdb and step properly? I understand it's a third-party device, so any help at all would be appreciated.

Since no one has responded to this yet I would mention that Freescale has fairly good documentation of using the BDM that is shipped with the kits. Also they maintain working knowledge of issues and problems that customers might face when using this product. I would recommend contacting Freescale for support on this BDM since I don't ever use it for anything but reflashing LogicLoader to a board.
