M5484EVB dBUG screen not appearing in tera term

    I just received the M5484EVBkit. I followed the start up instructions, but the dBUG monitor doesn't appear. I checked all the connections, tera term settings, and pressed reset but still nothing appears!!

    Ameer,

    Here are a few questions I would ask:

    Are you sure that you're using a NULL Modem Serial Cable?

    Are you sure that all four connectors of the board are firmly connected?

    Are you sure that you are using the correct COM port as outlined in the User's Guide? ( This is the top left COM port )

    Thanks for your prompt reply. I just realised that the fire engine wasn't firmly inserted. I was afraid I would break it if I pushed it hard, but I guess that is what it needs.
