We will buy an i.MX31 Litekit as soon as it will be available to us.
We heard from Freescale that a GNU-Toolchain will be available with the kit.

    1. Are the libraries in that toolchain compiled with VFP instructions and optimizations for speed?
    2. Is the startup code (initializing registers etc.) delivered with the board?

    Thanks,
    Matthias

    Hi Matthias,

At this time there isn't a toolchain available so I'm not sure of the specifics at this point in time. I will point our Logicloader developer to this thread though and he might be able to give some insight for that question.

Logic doesn't freely provide the source code for LogicLoader. I do believe that Freescale has sample source code available that is free to use.

    Hi Aaron,

The startup code just initializes the hardware and is needed to use standard JTAG-Debuggers. Since you did layout the board - this information should definitely be provided by LogigPD.

    Hello,

You can read these values from LogicLoader using the 'x' command and apply them to your JTAG configuration or your own startup code.

    Thanks,

The GNU toolchain for MX31 will be available RSN; it's going through final validation and packaging.
