It has been many moons since I've programmed away from a conventional OS. So, I'm hoping this is a stupid question with a simple answer.

Following all the instructions for the experimenter kit, I have successfully compiled, loaded, and run the test program within the BSL using the Codesourcery Lite package.

What I am wondering is if there is a way to compile a program that can be run in the Linux kernel OS that comes preloaded on the SOM board? IE I want to compile on my host machine, move the executable (via SD Card, Kermit, etc) to the target and just run it from the Linux command line. This seems like it ought to be a basic thing to do, but can't find it documented anywhere. Hoping it was just so simple that it wasn't worth documenting... :-)
