    Which Gigabit controller is recomended instead of 10/100 LAN9221 controller which is currently used.

    Do you have any development board with Gigabit Mac?

    Unfortunately, we have never evaluated the Torpedo SOM with a Gbit Ethernet controller, so I don't have a good recomendation for you.
