Drawing #1015274 in the HW Spec shows retention via a clip.
Can these clips be purchased ?
If not, can I have a drawing so I can get my own made ?

We are in the process of updating that drawing. The single large clip was never created. Our current recommendation is to use 2 of the smaller clips as shown on the AM1808 HW spec.

    3 STANDOFF, M2 x 4MM PEM SMTSO-M2-4 4
4 CLIP, RETENTION PLATE LOGIC PD LPD-SOM-CLIP1 2
    5 SCREW, PAN HEAD, M2 X 4MM MCMASTER-CARR 92000A011 4
    6 THERMAL PAD, .009" THICK,
ADHESIVE BACKED LOGIC PD LPD-SOM-CLIP1-THPAD 2

The clip is available through Distribution.
    Thanks

I thought it was done, but apparently it is not. I have brought this up with the product management team and they are pushing the update through now.
    Thanks

    Thanks Richard,
It's pretty urgent for us ... We've got guys laying out a PCB at the moment and we need to tie down the location of the PEMs pretty soon ...
Can you email me when it's done ?

Since we are only using one "wing" design, they should be able to figure out where to put them pretty easily.
Do you need access to the drawings of the wing, or does someone there have access to the AM1808/L138 or the OMAP35x Torpedo documentation?

The meeting with the ME team is not until Monday next week, I will try to get their recommendation without the final drawings.

Just looking at the SOM, I would think you would want to stay away from the WiFi module, so one clip on each side seems like the best choice.
If the Processor was a little closer to the edge, you could probably just do one on that side, since the connectors are offset to the processor side.

I have alerted the team to your layout situation and I'll get you their recommendations as soon as I can.
    Thanks

Yup, me too. I saw a preliminary drawing late Friday - I'll see if I can get a soft copy.
