Is there any way I can get around this for short periods of time? The WiFi (802.11n, 2.4G) will be turned on only occasionally, and it would make things much easier for our customers if we could allow them to wear/hold  the device when WiFi is turned on.

    Bret,

Our current FCC certification only allows for a minimum separation distance of 20 cm or more between the antenna of the SOM and the persons during operation.   Logic PD does have experience with assisting customers with certifications beyond what is currently available.   Customers interested in Logic PD helping them gain additional certification through a third party lab under contract can request our assistance by completing this online form

    Thanks,

    Brad
