We are using Windows CE Platform Builder 5.0, and your LoCE BSP. I've installed all the QFE's for PB and should be up to date.

We have a 64/64 NAND BASED 520Mhz PXA270 Card Engine, with LoLo version 2.3.1. In general, we can make and run OS images with no problems.

However, one of the features we wanted to have in our OS Design was the Software-Based input Panel

However, in the PB Catalog, the item in the Software Input Panel called Software-based Input Panel Driver has a red exclamation point next to it. Adding it to an OS build causes Sysgen to fail with errors like:

coredll.def : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol SipEnumIM

Any ideas on how I can get the SIP to work on my OS image?

Since then I have noticed several other items in the WinCE 5.0 Platform Builder catalog with Red Exclamation Points.

These were the Telnet Server, the FTP Server, the HTTP server. I have a theory that these are marked with the exclamation points because I'm still using the [color=blue:17qf9a1x]evaluation version of Platform Builder, and they have chosen to hold back some features.

I have the full version here on my desk and will be installing it soon; Then I will know for certain.

The red exclamation marks are Microsoft marks for Notification. If you right-click on the icon and select Notification from the menu, you will see the message that the exclamation is trying to get you to read. Some are additional requirements for your build, some are security concerns.

Thanks! I had search the doc for Exclamation Point or Red Exclamation and could not find any doc on what those meant.

I still don't know why I can't Sysgen successfully if I include the Software Based Input panel driver, but if I figure it out I will post it here.
