The 6.4" VGA display kit doesn't work with my i.MX27 zoom lite dev board. I've read through all of the documentation, reseated all connectors I could get at, reviewed the FAQs and tried all of the available display configurations in LoLo. The "5 16" and "7 16" configurations for video-open are the only ones that don't complain but the backlight never turns on and I never see the test pattern. The only time I see the backlight on is briefly when I toggle the power switch ON.

While I'm stumped and frustrated, I would like to point out that so many links and references to additional documentation just don't work. I'm already over the fact that there really isn't an example program for the '27. Never did find a separate command description manual or an addendum for the '27 SOM.

C'mon guys, once a customer buys a couple products and registers, give them access to anything that might help them. I would love to peruse the '31 resources to look for docs that might help my situation but I'm locked into seeing only '27 stuff because that is what I have registered.

Despite my early frustration, I see a lot of potential in this platform and would appreciate any help I can get to be able to use it.

Yeah, I have the same frustration with not being able to see other documentation that might relate. It seems that users are very willing to work with LPD in piecing together information despite the missing documentation. Does not seem that LPD is willing to work with us. In fact I see no evidence of anyone from logic products even looking at these forums or caring at all. Even a sorrry we are working on it would be nice. Is anybody home? Living in hope but quite frustrated.

The irony of this all is that I had gotten pretty far along with a Cirrus EDB9315 but the thought of having to roll my own custom display cable/adaptor seemed counter productive. So I switched to the zoom lite because of the ready-made display kits. I was hoping it would just work so I could concentrate on writing my code but it looks like I'm going to have to pull out the logic analyzer...

    John,

Have you used our Ask A Question support yet?

We do watch the TDG - just not on the weekends.

I posted an "ask a question" request and thanks to Richard LaBorde got the display to light up. My rev of the display hardware required a different version of LoLo than was present in the SOM flash.

At this point I am confident that the hardware I have is functional. Now I just have to figure out how to use it!

Thanks for your prompt response, Richard.
