    LogicPD,

Here are the kits and part numbers of my setup, I would like to know of any incompatibilities:

    DISPLAY KIT:
    LCD-12.1-SVGA-10, contains Sharp LQ121S1DG41 panel
    P/N 80000175 Rev I
    S/N 4104M00002

    ZOOM COLDFIRE M5329EVB DEV. KIT:
    P/N 1005318 Rev A
    S/N 2806M02178

    FIRE ENGINE, contains PCF5329CVM240:
    P/N 1005316 Rev A
    S/N 2806M02344

With LogicLoader 2.1.1-MCF5329_10 0001 freshly re-loaded to 0x00040000, the video-open 2 16 and draw-test commands do nothing on the display itself. Display is blank (white) with backlight on. And yes, the fire engine card is securely seated, with both 80-way connectors underneath securely snapped into place, and the 60-way ribbon cable is installed properly per Display Kit QuickStart Guide instructions.

Any help would be appreciated, thx!

We have recently seen some issues with the 5329 and 12.1" displays with the 41 glass. We are working internally and with Freescale tech support to resolve this issue.
I'll keep you up to date as I learn more about potential solutions.

    Thanks

This issue has been resolved. On this particular kit, there is an interference condition between the adapter board and the backside of the LCD unit itself. This caused Q5 to get knocked off of the adapter board, and potentially could cause the same to happen to Q6. These two combined, as seen in the schematic, enable the LCD when commanded. Q5 was replaced with a suitable replacement, and tape was applied on the LCD unit in the area of the interference to prevent shorts. The video and draw-test commands now result in a functioning display. So if you have one of these 12.1 SVGA display kits from LogicPD, you may want to check for this condition and take measures, if needed, to ensure (continued) proper operation of the enabling signal. Thanks to Richard at LogicPD for his help in resolving this issue!
