    Hi,
Does Lolo v2.0.2 have a command equivalent to the older 'touch-cal' command? I'm using an LH7A404-11 Card Engine. I was hoping to be able to do something like "test-dev /dev/touchscreen" but couldn't figure out how.

Can I use Lolo v2.0.2 at all to scan, test, and/or calibrate the touchscreen, or do I have to write my own?
    Thanks.

LogicLoader 2.x.x does not have support for touch screens.

What OS are you using? (I realize you may not be using an OS, please let me know the basic support of your custom app in that case)

Eventually, we will be using a port of MGC/ATI Nucleus PLUS for the LH7A404. We have no intention of going anywhere near WinCE. Right now, I'm just trying to set something up for our EEs to take a look at the emissions of our LCD+touchscreen assembly & what kind of shielding our box will require. I've succesfully done the Optrex T-51756D121J-FW-A-AA 1024x768x18 12.1" LCD display part, using the LOLO 2.0.2 video-init (in 8 bpp mode), 'config V', 'draw-test' and 'bitmap' commands, as described in your AppNote 298 "Integrating Custom Displays with LogicLoader 1002791_Rev_A.pdf" (great AppNote, thanks) and a custom display board our EE's have developed, that serializes the Zoom SDK App Board's video signals from J11 to the Optrex LCD panel's 3 serial video streams + a clock.

Now, I need to get the touch screen to start scanning. I was hoping to be able to use LOLO to do that too, but it sounds like I'm going to have to write my own app, based on one of your sample apps. Is that right?

That would be right, you would need to write your own app.

Here is a FAQ about a story written by a magazine contributor about writing touch screen interface software, it used our LH79524-10 card engine, but it may be of interest to you:

If you just needed to do some testing on the hardware, CE may be a demo test for you. We have the touch driver working, although at the current time the performance on larger screens is not good. We are working to update this currently. If you would consider this, let me know and I can try to give you some timelines for a new driver release.

    Michael,

Thanks for that confirmation. However, I can't seem to get to that FAQ you mention in your previous post. Whenever I click on:

    I get

Shall I contact the Webmaster@LogicPD.com as it suggests, or is that link just incorrect?

Sorry, I forgot you have to register a kit to see those specific blogs. This one should have been posted for every user's webblog, so I'll post its contents here:

The LH79524-10 card engine was featured in the June, 2005 issue of Embedded Systems Programming magazine. The article focuses on writing drivers for a touch-screen interface and uses the LH79524-10 system as one of the target hardware platforms. Got it, thanks. I'll read that before I start implementing my own app based on your sample code. I'll let you know how that works out for me.

There is one more place you may want to check out for source code. Sharp has what they call their 'BlueStreak Library'. They also have some source BSPs listed on their site done by third parties.

    http://www.sharpsma.com/mcu/mculibrary.php

You'll have to register on the site, which is straigh forward.

    Good Luck.

    Thanks,
    -Mike
