    Hi -

I have been developing an ABL application for the 79520 for a while now. I am at the point where I would like the application to execute out of flash ram. I returned to the original sample applications in order to see what changes are needed to make an application work from flash memory.

the sample_RAM application compiles, downloads to ram, and then run's fine. But the sample_FLASH application compiles, downloads to ram, but then, when I execute the BURN command I get 'unable to open /dev/flash0 for burn'.

I have read through some of the other threads concerning flash ram and the burn command. I have checked my jumper setting and I have the latest lolo and bolo and I have the same results when I use bolo.

When I press the reset button I get a message from lolo (twice) 'flash error: invalid vendor id 0c at 0x40000000'

When I try 'ls /dev' it does not show the flash memory.

When I try 'erase 0x400c0000' 1024 it gives me the same error "unable to open /dev/flash0 for burn"

Is there something wrong with my flash chip? Do I need to rewrite the vendor id at 0x40000000?

    any help would be great!
