    Hi,
Does the current distribution support having the file system located in the onboard FLASH? We would like to dispense with the CF for cost and space issues. If it currently doesn't, do you plan on adding this functionality?
    Thanks,

    Hey,

I assume that you mean the free Linux distribution?

The answer for that is Linux supports a number of
different Flash filesystems. Logic does not currently
support these features of our free Linux distribution,
    but they are readily available.

    Regards,

    Hi,
Naturally I mean Logic's Linux dist
When I spoke with your sales folks they indicated that Logic was "soon" to implement having the fs be located in the onboard Flash. If this isn't going to happen, can you point to where I can find the code to try to incorporate this functionality into the Logic dist?
    Thanks,
    /michel

They were probably confused as to what you were
talking about We are working on filesystem
support for the bootloader, not Linux; anything in Linux
already exists and is up to you at this point in time.
I'd suggest googling for information about JFFS, ext3
and other MTD-using (the Flash driver) fs types, there are
    several.

    Here's an article:

So has anybody out there already integrated jffs2 and/or cramfs and the MTD device driver into the Logic Linux distribution so as to be able to run the filesystem from onboard Flash? If so, I'ld love to hear how long the process took and any inside pointers.
