    I'm not sure what this message means. It is the last thing I see printed when the kernel boots. Yet, I'm not finding it by grep'ing through the kernel source.

    Here's everything. In this case, I tried to change the console to ttyAM0 in case that's the problem. Any pointers?

    You might try reconfiguring your kernel without LCD support.

    it's under "Console Drivers -> Frame Buffer Support".
    I'm not sure if it's even possible to build a kernel without
    one of these console options, just an idea for something
    to try.

    Also, just noticed that you are not using the included compiler.
    Is that your intention?

    I never enabled the frame buffer when I buuilt the kernel.

    And, in fact, that was the problem. Removing it lets the kernel boot to the VFS mount point.

    hey evn i wud like to change my console to ttyAM0 ..coz i need the debug serial port for something else.
    is there a way of doing this? or any work around?
