    Hello All,

At the moment we have a problem programming the flash on the development board. What happened is that someone here was testing a software package for programming the flash and het accidentaly corrupted the first flash block and now it seems impossible to access the flash for anything.
The tools we have used are the Flash programmer from Embest as well as a demo version of the Flash programming tool from Macraigor. The first tool we didn't get to work at all, but the second tool was working (as the messed up first flash sector proofs). But now it does not seem to work anymore. Can anyone hint us to what the problem is ? What we think it that it must be some kind of initialisation issue, since BOLO and LOLO are no longer running, the Sharp does not get proper initialisation.

    Any ideas anyone ?

    Greetings,
    Han

    Han,

Please log in to your Logic support account. Under the available downloads for the 75401-10 you will find an Application Note entitled:

AN 248 Restoring a Corrupt Bolo/Lolo with an ARM Multi-ICE JTAG

While you are there, you should also download the latest version of BoLo/LoLo as well as bs 75401 dbg.elf and bolo LLH75401 10 LCE strip RAM.

The application note will walk you through the complete process.

In short, you will use your JTAG debugger to download the bootstrap program bs_75401_dbg.elf into the processor's internal memory. When you start that program up, it will initialize external SDRAM and then enter a tight loop. This allows you to use the JTAG to break its execution and download bolo_LLH75401_10_LCE_strip_RAM.elf into external SDRAM. You can then start that program and use it to program the latest version of BoLo/LoLo into flash.

    Regards,
