I am considering this development system for a new project. Among other things, it will need to support PCMCIA 5V device cards. The specs mention PCMCIA signals being available, but the CF slot being 3V3 memory only.

Please advise what we need for PCMCIA support? Hopefully someone has already solved this problem, if we can buy a built up adaptor of some sort for immediate evaluation, that would be excellent. Failing that, are any schematics availabe for a proven design?

    Thanks,
    Rick

    Hi Rick,

Logic has a single slot CF reference schematic available for download.

    http://www.logicpd.com/do...ference%20Design.pdf

Logic has an adapter board product that will have a CF I/O mode card slot on it that should be shipping in the next few of months. If need be Logic could discuss the release of the schematic for this board as a reference.

    Thanks,

Thanks Aaron. It doesn't look like I have access to that design file at the moment, but I assume it will be a useful starting point.

Another question: will I be able to have a "Debug" build of the Kernel or image as part of my development support? We have been trying to run a third party CF device on another CE5.0 development system, and the device vendor wants us to help troubleshoot by monitoring "debug" output from the kernel as the card is inserted. The CE vendor doesn't seem to want to give us a debug image. I assume we'll have the same problem when we go to run it on your platform, so we'll most likely be looking for the debug build of the kernel at that stage- what's our chances?
