Revision A of the AM1808/OMAP-L138 SOM-M1 NAND Flash Programming and Use application note has been released. This document explains how to program and boot the NAND flash on the User Interface Board included in the AM1808 EVM Development Kit and the OMAP-L138 EVM Development Kit.

Hi,
Can someone please confirm this for me:
1) I just spun a board with a SOM OMAP138, and I left the IO_VOLT_SEL pin floating, so that the IO signals are 3.3V.
2) I then have some ICs (RS485 transceivers, external SRAM) on my custom baseboard that are powered by a different 3.3V (which share the same digital ground as the SOM).
The question is that even though both the SOM’s IO signals and the external circuitry’s IO signals are at 3.3V, do I still need the “dual rail” level shifters (sim...

I am new to DSP world and started to work with OMAP-L138 EVM lately. I am using OMAP-L138 SOM. My application requires continuous sampling and post-processing of 1 MHz analog signal.
I have gone through the uPP documents that is designed to interface cleanly with high-speed analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). OMAP-L138 EVM Kit came with User Interface Board which has ADS901 A/D converter attached with it. I want to use that A/D converter to sample analog signal using uPP and DMA features...

Hi,
I want to use McBSP1 for transmission and reception of data.CLKX1 is provided as external(2.304MHZ) and FSX1 is configured to generate on every DXR to XSR copy. FSR1 is configured to be generated as external.
CLKX1 is provided as the source for sample rate generator and CKR1 generated by sample rate generator.
But, McBSP1 is not working at all, even though McBSP0 worked properly with the same configuration.

slow connecting and running via XDS100 1901 2

I have recently started using an L138 EVM (SN 4711M0066) and find that it is very slow. When connecting to the on-board USB emulator for the DSP from CCS4 it takes 1 min 15s for the DSP wake complete mesage to appear. I am using the supplied GEL from the Win CE SD card and loading the test programs from the same. The console messages during the emulator connect sequence report core:300MHz, DDR:150Mhz so I assume that this is ok. printf() to the console seems to take about 1s per call.

Hello,
We've downloaded the schematic files for the EVM OMAP L138 evaluation board, we've looked in TMDSEVML138-B_HW_Design_Files.zip, but we couldn't find the .DSN for the small processor board with TMS320C6748, I've tried the other files available on the website but we couldn't find them, any idea where they can be found This would allow us to speed up the design process.

Is there any issues with power sequencing on the SOM6748 Near as I can tell, the SOM only requires an external 5 volt supply, but is there something I'm missing here My first spin proto-type board using the SOM6748, everything worked: SATA, Ethernet, Emulator, USB, I2C, UPP...

I am on the 2nd spin of ADC / DAC board using the SOM6748 and SATA is not working on the 2nd board. The SATA works on my first development board and I only made a few changes to the 2nd spin board to clean up some layout errors, but the SATA stopped working for some reason on the second layout. Question: What is the bare minimum that the SOM6748 needs for the SATA to work I cleared the pin mux to disable all other external functionality. My present license does not support the OMAP-L138 connection type through the XDS510 USB emulator . The CCS4.2v directs me to TI site where I entered the old Activation ID. But it shows that no more licenses can be issued on this activation ID. How to go about this issue.

The new revision boards were getting stuck in setup_arch() when the CPU ID is determined. There were accommodations in 2.6.33 for silicon revisions up to 1.1 but not for 2.0 as there are in 2.6.37. To account for this, Below is a patch for the following change:
In kernel linux-2.6.33/arch/arm/mach-davinci/da850.c, add a definition to da850_id list which is needed for OMAP-L138 silicon revision 2.0

UBL and U-boot from SPI flash 1839 1

We got OMPL138 Experiment Board from Logic PD. According to the Logic PD the ubl and u-boot is in SPI Flash.
we removed the SD card and we are tying to boot from uart, but the Uboot prompt is not comming and we are getting SD/MMC Boot failed.
We are not getting Where is the u-boot image
is it in SPI flash or in SD/MMC card.
Without SD/MMC card the uboot prompt should be come on host pc

Hello,
I've got an OMAP-L138 evm development kit from LogicPD. And now I want to write an application which uses a SPI channel of the C6748 to communicate with another controller (its an MPC5643L). Are there any interfaces (pins, plugs) on the board on which I can connect / solder some cables to connect the SPI channel on the C6748 to the MPC5643L My MPC5643L already has an interface to do so all that is missing is the docking on the OMAP-L138 EVM board.

After I downloaded the 1017292B_OMAP-L138_GEL_BSL_Files_v2&911&93.3.zip from LogicPD website,
I added GEL files to the Target Configuration file in CCStudio v4.2
OMAPL138_DSP.gel-> Advanced tab C674X_0 initialization script
OMAPL138_ARM.gel-> Advanced tab ARM9_0 initialization script
And I clicked 'Save' button.
Then the following error has occurred.
