How to acces /dev/spi 1276 1
Started by James Giesbrecht
In short, I&39;m trying to connect to a device using the SPI bus, and can&39;t even get it to show up as a device in linux.
What I&39;ve done:
- Following the document:1028364B_DM37x_Linux_Mainstream_UG.pdf
- Install and run the Ubuntu VM 1029082_Ubuntu_16.04 DM37x Mainstream Linux 1.0-1.ova (I&39;ve just started a new version straight from the downloaded copy so I know it&39;s completely clean)
- In ~/logic/buildroot/, &39;make menuconfig&39; and enable anything lab...

Started by Jared
I am trying to use a different toolchain other than the Codesourcery-2011.09-70 gcc-4.6.1 ARMv5te/glibc-2.13. Everything seems to build without errors and I can load it onto the torpedo with 'run makeyaffsboot' . However, when I try to execute the image It always seems to hang at the starting of the kernel:
//cut and paste- of terminal window
Verifying Checksum ... OK
Loading Kernel Image ... OK
OK
Starting kernel ...

DM3730 Bluetooth Linux 1060 3
Started by Sergey Brandis
Hi!
I&39;m trying to write application which works with bluetooth headset under Linux on DM3730 Torpedo SOM kit. The way, described in "1026920A_AN605_DM37x_Linux_Bluetooth" works great, but I need to do it programmatically.
Some examples would be great, but documentation or links to API usefull too.
Thanks

DM3730 Torpedo occasionally self-identifies as SOM-LV on custom carrier 1112 4
Started by Stephen Newberry
Hello,
We have a custom carrier using a LAN9221 and a USB device connected to the DM3730 Torpedo. We
were noticing occasional failures on the LAN9221 and tracked it down to the board type/machine
type being assigned as per console logs. Most of the time, the board is set as DM37xx Torpedo,
but in about 15 of boot-ups, the board is set as DM37xx SOM LV. I believe this is dynamically
set from omap3logic.c, and is supposed to change if there is a pull-down on HSUSB0_DATA5. Are
any of ...

Mainstream Linux BT and BLE 1927 6
Started by William Deninger
Hello all,
Has anyone successfully been able to establish a Bluetooth device under the Mainstream Linux 4.4.x kernel In particular, I&39;m targeting BLE, but need to get standard serial BT working first. The process seems quite different than that under 3.0.101, so I could have missed some important steps. Ultimately, I cant seem to find the device. Is there required a modification to the kernel device tree or pins file Is btwlink.ko missing or is it no longer requi...

DM3730 / TrustZone 1139 2
Started by Scott
An older post, cited below, discusses TrustZone usage. My reading suggests that TrustZone requires a mask programmed public key for each unique customer. TI would either require a volume commitment (e.g. with termination charge for not meeting the commitment) or NRE to cover mask charges, etc. Is my interpretation correct
Additionally, it appears that TrustZone requires a NDA with ARM or its agent TI. Thoughts

Mainstream Linux GPIO manipulation 1068 2
Started by William Deninger
Hello,
Under Linux 3.0.101, I was able to modify GPIO mode, read and writes by locating the pin mux, exporting, setting pin direction and value. For instance, under 3.0.101 I could script:
locate correct pin
grep gpio_102 /debug/omap_mux/*
check mux setting
cat /debug/omap_mux/cam_d3
modifiy mux for general GPIO
echo 0x4 > /debug/omap_mux/cam_d3
export pin
echo 102 > /sys/class/gpio/export
set pin as output
echo out > /sys/class/gpio/gpio102/direction
Set ...

wifi throughput on DM3730 SOM (Torpedo wireless) 1177 2
Started by Brian Frohlich
Using iperf3 (TCP) between the SOM and a PC with a wireless connection.
SOM is running hostapd (AP)
N band - 72Mb/s
channel 36
RSSI at PC is -61dbm
Kernel 4.4.9
cpu 1000Mhz
=======================
SOM to PC result is 10Mb/s
PC to SOM result is 25Mb/s
Are there any optimizations I can do to boost the tx performance
(I do not believe that iperf3 is part of the problem. I can run iperf3, SOM to PC over wired ethernet at 83Mb/s)
Thank yo...
