Torpedo SOM integration support 1420 1
Started by MarcoPhx
Hello,
I have received the Torpedo DEV Kit for DM3730.
I have studied the docs and schematics available, and understood that my company
need a strong support to integrate the Torpedo SOM with Android in our handheld.
We'll need a driver for trackball and integration of our TFT display.
May I have a contact at which send
a draft of requirements for evaluation of such services
Regards,
Marco

How can I use AM3703 in DevKit? (Android) 1466 1
Started by marc
Hi everybody,
I have a Torpedo SOM Development Kit. This Kit has two modules, a DM3730 and AM3703. Normally I’m using the DM37 module (Android OS), but today I wanted to use the AM3703. When I try to use the AM3703 I saw that it didn’t have the Pre-Built Binaries in LogicPD resources. I also have tried with Android BSP Source Code, and I have had the same result, AM3703 doesn’t work.
Anybody knows how I can to use AM3703 with Android in this Kit. I think that if LogicPD give you this module, y...

Battery drains while running Linux BSP 1577 4
Started by indivara
First, I've looked at this threa which seemed to be related, but it doesn't solve anything.
We are running Linux from the BSP, written to on-board NAND, but after running for a couple of hours, the battery gets completely drained and the board begins to power cycle. Booting from SD with LoLo on it doesn't charge the battery either, we have to restore the flash to its original state and leave it for several hours.
What should we do to make the battery charge while running Linux
The kit's LCD d...

Kernel config of the demo image 1538 2
Started by klaas
Hi,
Is it possible to get the kernel configs of the demo images somewhere
I'm trying to get my kernel to boot but have failed so far.
At the moment I'm using LoLo to load u-boot from which I load my uImage.
Is there a need to use u-boot or can I use the raw load in LoLo to load a zImage or something like that
I've tried the raw load on the zImage but it halts after some output aswell.
Possibly it's the same problem I'm having when using u-boot so it's probably kernel related.
If possible I...

LogicLoader to load Linux Kernel and file system via network 1538 1
Started by jsarao
I command LogicLoader to load the elf over the network (see previous post).
e.g. load elf /tftp/192.168.1.112:/tftpboot/image.elf
And that works fine.
I'd like to configure my system (I guess in this case Logic Loader), so that just the u-boot loads.
then I'll configure u-boot to load the kernel via tftp.
I'll then configure u-boot to instruct the kernel to mount the file system via NFS.
I would then like to SAVE this configuration so that every time I turn on my Torpedo dev kit it does this...

Getting Started - Pre-Build Windows CE and Linux 1939 3
Started by eric.miles
I have two SDK-OMAP3530-20 Zoom Development Kits. I've been trying to just get something to load on both boards.
My first attempt was to follow the instructions in the Quick Start Guide (1014938C_Torpedo_DevKit_QSG.pdf) for getting the Demo Windows CE
up and running. So I connected the SOM, connected the battery, connected the LED screen, inserted the provided Windows CE SD card into the
primary slot, and attached the 5V power supply. I then switch the Power On and .. *drum roll* .. nothing....

J1 and J2 pin number ordering. Zig-zag or counter-clockwise? 1664 7
Started by Deleted User
Does the pin number ordering of the two 100-pin connectors J1 & J2 follow a zig-zag pattern
The HW docs show that the main functional pin groups are mostly either odd-numbered or even-numbered. And I couldn't find any specific mention of the pin ordering in any of the docs but it would seem to make the most sense if all the even numbered pins are on one side of the connector and all the odd numbered pins are on the other side. Pin-1 is clearly stated, but from there I can't find anything t...

MMC3, ADC, INT1 and LCD 1589 3
Started by Deleted User
MMC3
Am I correct in assuming that the MMC3 signals are the equivalent GPIO17..20/12..13 (mode 2 mux) This would be useful for our project since GPIO0..31 have special features for interrupting in certain low power states.
If not, then MMC3 can only otherwise be on GPIO136..139/175..176 (mode 3 mux). This is not so useful, I hope this is not the case.
ADC
Is the PMIC START_ADC signal routed to a GPIO on the OMAP
INT1
Is the PMIC INT1 signal routed GPIO0 (sys_nirq) on the OMAP Or anther ...

Board begins to power cycle 1754 7
Started by aaron.oreilly
At the end of our first day of using the new board, it has started to power cycle itself after just a few seconds from being powered up. Left it over the weekend and Monday, could power it up for ~40 seconds. Sounds like the battery may not be charging()
Any advise.

I2C2 works? 1575 1
Started by jkg
Hello,
Has anyone had experience with I2C2 on the SOMOMAP3530
I seem to have SDA stuck high. In addition to the 4.7K pup shown on the torpedo schematic, I have a 3K on our board, and have the bus connected to a tvp5150.
I see lots of issues with I2C2 on the beagle, and have verified my mux pins as:
MUX_VAL(CP(I2C2_SCL), (IEN | PTU | EN | M0)) /*I2C2_SCL*/\
MUX_VAL(CP(I2C2_SDA), (IEN | PTU | EN | M0)) /*I2C2_SDA*/\
Both of which read back as 0x118.
Thanks,
Joel.

T-35x Torpedo Baseboard PS Question 1406 0
Started by rmeyer@ieeinc.com
Hi,
Why you you think Q7 added when U16 is already turned on/off by T2_REGEN(revision 1013987 - 1014746 of schematic 1014746 sheet 8)
Especially with R102 across Drain Source. Seems a bit scarry.

Android on this kit 1369 0
Started by sean9182
Is it possible to run the Android OS on this dev kit I flashed an SD card with the uboot, MLO, uImage, and filesystem, but nothing boots! Nothing shows on the screen or the debug window. If I power on the kit without an SD card in the slot, it boots to the LogicLoader boot loader (terminal debug).
If anyone could point me toward some clear instructions on this, that would be perfect. Thanks!
-Sean
