2 Replies and 1465 Views Interfacing new displays  1465  2 Started by  mikea@logicpd.com We've tried to make it as straight-forward as possible to interface new displays to our products. LogicLoader 2.x has some new features to allow for this. If you are looking to interface a display, this document should help you along the process. You will need to be up to speed on how the specific LCD controller operates and how the adjustments to its registers affect the display timing. 0 Replies and 1312 Views Initializing GPIO ports J and M  1312  0 Started by  maslisko@seznam.cz I'd like to utilize GPIO ports J and M, more specifically bits PJ0:5 and PM4:6. I know those pins are multiplexed with another function, and I have found a mention about MUXCTL registers but I can't find, which values write to those registers to enable these pins. According to supplied libraries I think that writing and reading those registers is no problem (gpio_write_byte and gpio_read_byte) but really got stuck trying to solve this problem. Thanks for any help (a piece of code would be great:...

3 Replies and 1268 Views Loading an image into RAM  1268  3 Started by  maslisko@seznam.cz I want to load an ELF image file into RAM. When the file size is under approx. 280 kB, everythings ok, but when I loaded an image of size 350 kB and tried to execute the program using "jump" command, the program didn´t do anything. The thing which made me confused is the message I got from the LOLO: loaded 198016 0x200c0000 Ram ignoring rest of file...done md5sum of _loaded_ portion of the file: ... This is shown to me everytimes I am attempting to load a file into ram, but it never...

3 Replies and 1263 Views GPIO port B pins  1263  3 Started by  maslisko@seznam.cz I need to connect some interface to GPIO port B. According to pin names in MCU documentation I was trying to localize those 8 pins on SDK board expansion headers. I did it for 6 of 8 pins, but I can't find the resting 2 pins. Their name are uP_I2S_SWS (MCU documentation name is PB2/SSPFRM/I2SWS) and (uP_I2S_BCK). Nowhere in schematics I can find a pin whose name is at least similar to those given above. Does anybody know, where's the problem Thanks

5 Replies and 1287 Views Does LH79524 support 32 bit External device ?  1287  5 Started by  cstrahm@linearx.com I need to be able to interface to an external bus device that is 32 bit wide data. Can the LH79524 do this Can your kit board do this I think the data sheet says so, but the Logic kit board says 16 bit I think. So is this just a limitation of the kit board or the part

2 Replies and 1188 Views Placing a bitmap on LCD  1188  2 Started by  maslisko@seznam.cz I am new to programming LCD and processor to control it and in my project I would like to place a bitmap on LCD. I know there is a function swim_place_bitmap, but I would like to know what does the "pointer to image data" mean. Is there any possibility to read image data from CF card Thank you for your answers.

3 Replies and 1330 Views Compact Flash  1330  3 Started by  bethel@colorado.edu Hi. I am working with the LH79524 development board, and I am trying to write my own custom Compact Flash driver. I am writing the driver for memory mode only, and I am setting my base address of the registers to 0x48200000 as per the IO specifications. Therefore my registers are between 0x48200000 and 0x4820000F. However when I try to write to these registers, they don't seem to change. Since the CF signals seem to be abstracted by the CPLD, I was wondering if there is some functions or c...

5 Replies and 1246 Views Problem Writing to Flash  1246  5 Started by  tlucas@autoflame.com I am struggling with a driver to write to the flash (no Lolo involvement) which does not seem to be co-operating. When I send a Common Flash Interface Query then I get the QRY string back so I have communication at at least a basic level. When sending an unlock command for both banks then the returned status word indicates that it was a success. Blanking sectors returns a success in the status word but writing words does not. However, when I examine the flash I find that nothing has been writ...

3 Replies and 1333 Views LH79524 Zoom initialization  1333  3 Started by  dejan@dilogic.hr I have MacRaigor JTAG wiggler and GHS MULTI toolchain and I would like to debug application for LH79524 board from on-board SDRAM but without starting the LOLO first. To be able to access SDRAM, I have to programm CPU registers via JTAG first. Is there a script file or something like it - describing what should be configured etc... regards Dejan

1 Replies and 1290 Views LogicLoader net commands missing (ifconfig, ping, ifmac)  1290  1 Started by  chris.noonan@sharpsec.com I've tied lolo versions 1.6.1 and 2.0.3. Both are lacking the net related commands present in the LH7A404 lolo. Specifically the ifconfig, ifmac and ping commands are missing. Is there an alternative that I have missed If not, are there plans to add these commands Being able to load a large elf from a tftp server is really nice and this can't be done without an IP address. Regards, Chris

0 Replies and 1357 Views Interfacing to Touch Screen Interface Article  1357  0 Started by  mikea@logicpd.com We posted a weblog note about this and also an FAQ, but I though it may be applicable here: http://www.logicpd.com/blog/view.phpbp_id=123 or, if you haven't registered a kit: Quote:The LH79524-10 card engine featured in Embedded Systems Programming magazine. The LH79524-10 card engine was featured in the June, 2005 issue of Embedded Systems Programming magazine.
