The LH75401 standard memory configuration does not have enough memory to handle the File Allocation Table
(FAT) for many CF cards. It will work if the FAT is small enough – it can be reduced by ensuring the card being
used is a small card (16MB) and the file structure on the card is minimal. You may have to create a smaller
partition on the card as well to minimize the file system size.
Using WIN2000 to create a FAT file structure has not been shown to work. The file structure is too large.
A suggested work around is to use FDISK to create a FAT16 file structure and proceed from there.
