We just got a M5475EVB, and are starting to explore, looking at register values, etc. so we can start developing software.
There is a register "JTAG-ID" at MBAR+0x50 that reports the actual CPU chip, that has the value 0x0800C01D.
According to the MCF5475 manual, I should see 0x801201D for a MCF5475 part. The value that I read indicates a MCF5485 part!
The part on the board has "MCF5475ZP266" engraved on it.
We chose the MCF5475 because of the CPU speed, and don't care about the other peripherals that are different on the various versions.
I also don't see anything in Motorola's errata about this. I must be missing something obvious here.
