I tried running the sample application with both Flash and ram, but neither is working. I get " error: invalid option '5407' ".

    Ameer,

Can you please post the process that you are going through and the steps involved to get his error to happen?

    Thanks,

I first open cygwin, move to the ledflasher directory and type "make", select my module ( 4 - MCF5485_10 ), and select 1) flash (I also tried ram). This gives the error. I also tried launching GDB first, then carrying out the same prodecure, but I get the same error.

    Ameer,

You will want to update your version of Cygwin to ensure that everything build correctly with the new sample application, which can be done here:

    http://www.cygwin.com/

Once you've updated Cygwin you can install the most recent GNU Tools toolchain build from Logic:

    http://www.logicpd.com/do...gnutools_install.exe

After this you should be able to build the sample application without problems. Please let me know if this solves the issues that you are seeing or if I can assist you with any other questions.

    Thanks,

Hi, i´m having the some problem whith sample_app too, but i´m trying to use the sample_app with LoLo in hyperterminal, i followed every step as showed in 1003255_Rev_B. When i get on Mounting and Executing the Image, stop in step 3:

Load the Linux kernel into RAM using the ‘load’ command. Type load elf /flash/boot/vmlinux.

I do as said in the rev_b, but it says load failed, i would like to know if there is any configurantion that i forgot, or if i have to change the file .img?

    Thanks

    Hello,
I had the same problem as ameer: the compilation failed because of the invalid option "5407".
An update of both cygwin and the cross compiler solved the problem.

    Thanks for your help,

    Vincent.
