I'd like to run some form of Linux on the M5475EVB board, and thought
I'd start with uCLinux. Does anyone know if this port has been done?
The latest I see available is for a M5275EVB.

I dont know if anyone will do a uCLinux port to this board.
The processor is the first ColdFire part that has an MMU,
so it is able to run full, normal Linux. There is a port under
development, though I dont know the exact schedule for
its initial release. I would guess sometime before the end
of the year or early next.

One issue I have is that my system won't have any disk drive of
any sort. Therefore, it will be using a ramdisk filesystem and a small
amount of ROM for non-volatile storage. I assume that the regular
Linux 2.6 kernel plus a small number of apps can fit in 128MB of
RAM (hopefully?)
BTW, do you know who I'd contact to get details on the Linux port?

I think 128 should be enough, but of course the answer is always "depends".
We are planning on supplying a Linux BSP, but those plans aren't finalized.
Freescale has/will have one as well. So, I guess, our sales guys, or your
Freescale contact.
