The m54x5evb board uses edgeport-7 as one of the two PCI interrupts. The coldfire V4ECFUM table 2-2 states that this interrupt is not maskable using the interrupt priority mask in the status register. This creates heartburn when trying to support the board since some operating systems must mask off interrupts during critical code sections. Have there been any reports of problems supporting this and have there been any suggested solutions

Hello ,
Im using M5485EVBoard, where I would like to do the debugging of my application (using CodeWarrior IDE) running on linux. I've flashed the uImage which is available from the BSP downloaded from the Freescale site. To do the application debugging we would require the binary AppTRK under /usr/bin of the linux filesys. But my linux filesys doesn't contain the binary. Since I wanted to build image again using ltib, configuration is not having AppTRK in the package list. Please suggest, how ...

We currently have 2 projects working on your MCF5474EVB board with revision 1004770 REV B, and we have been having several problems getting the SM712 display driver, and the USB host 1561 to work together. We can make two seperate projects that work for each device alone. However when we combine them we one faults the other. My quesiton is looking at the schematic for this board I noticed that IRQ 5 is attached to the IP1561 board and to the SM712 display. Is this correct I don't understand why...

I have downloaded the Linux BSP and installed as per instructions. When building the toolchain I get the following error in the build log:

I have the ColdM5485CFE Fire Engine Module (SOM-ETX), and the Mini-ITX baseboard.when i enable the Universal Serial Bus (USB) EHCI Host Controller in the VxWorks6.3 for the m54x5evb BSP or use your MCF547x/8x Linux BSP( I download the image.bin and run the kernel ,after i "make xCONfig" and enable the USB2.0 in that ,then kernel will run and initiate the usb ,at that time the ColdM5485CFE Fire Engine Module is dead);the ColdM5485CFE Fire Engine Module will dead and never runing!I don't...

Hi
I have just downloaded latest from the ligcpd.com source for the tool chain and Linux source and I was able successfully build 2 images
image.elf and image image-m5475cfe-evb.elf.
I erase flash and followed instructions for the image I generated, after I tftp copy this image-m5475cfe-evb.elf into the memory and executed I got mumbo jumbo on a screen of serial console.
I was trying different baud rate, parity and I could not get any human readable information in my console screen,

I wish to access serial / USB devices using SBC. Also i am looking for SBC which run only on CF or SD card or USB thumbdrive as my application has very high vibration.

Cant write or erase the application flash (U14 on MCF5475EV) 1579 1

I am not able to Erase or program the application flash. However i m able to read the manufacturers code and other stuff on the flash. I have a confusion . The schematic shows a pin WP* which comes from CPLD. However the datasheet for the 28F128 device does not have such a pin. If we need to make the WP* low, then how do i do it Also the part number mentioned in the schemtic and the other docs for U14 is 28F256 while the actual device when i see on the board is 28F128. Please guide.

USB Device Problem in MCF5485??? 1577 1

Hi,
I have been trying to get the USB device working on the processor. I followed the instructions in the Ref. Manual (Rev 4) to intialize the USB device controller. However, when I connect the device to the USB host (PC) an interrupt to indicate that Reset Stop Signalling doesnt occur. Shouldnt it occur On the other hand when I do read the USBISR register it contains the following:

After registration, I received CPLD firmware (MCF547X__64.upd) from Logicpd. I downloaded it with the “update” command in Lolo; after that, if I press S3 button, the line IRQ6 will come back to 0 (correct behavior).
The problem is that if I reset the system (S1 button or switch off and then switch on), the S3 button will not have effect on IRQ6 line (monitored on pin 44 of J12 with an oscilloscope).
My questions are:
- Have I to program CPLD after each power on or reset For me this is not p...

M5475EVB JTAG ID indicates a MCF5485 CPU 1611 2

We just got a M5475EVB, and are starting to explore, looking at register values, etc. so we can start developing software.
There is a register "JTAG-ID" at MBAR0x50 that reports the actual CPU chip, that has the value 0x0800C01D.
According to the MCF5475 manual, I should see 0x801201D for a MCF5475 part. The value that I read indicates a MCF5485 part!
The part on the board has "MCF5475ZP266" engraved on it.
We chose the MCF5475 because of the CPU speed, and don't care ab...

I downloaded the I2C component and added it to the catalog. Now, I wonder if there is any documentation on how to use it, or how to find the API into the functionality. This probably sounds like a dumb question, but I am new to CE and Logic. Still learning my way around. I know I2C bus communication quite well (lots of 8-bit MCU experience).
By the way, using the PXA270, win CE50.
Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Sirs,
We have an application that needs additional flash storage, we are considering using one of the FireEngine boards with the optional 16MB flash or using a CompactFlash card. Losh is not used for these applications. Both Nor Flash and CompactFlash interface through the CPLD. First is there a document that shows how the CPLD is programmed to access these devices. Second is there such a thing as a non-Losh based CompactFlash Driver.

How can I handle ISA_IRQ0, ISA_IRQ1, ISA_IRQ2, ISA_IRQ3 on M5475EVBE board
About ISA_IRQ management, the manual “Fire_Engine_HW_Spec.pdf” at page 33 reports: “offboard IRQx comes to the CPLD and generates IRQ6back at the processor”.
The problem is that the line IRQ6 to the MCF5475 (monitored on J12 pin 44) remains always high even if I press the S3 button (INTERRUPT BUTTON) that is equivalent to an ISA_IRQ0 request.

My host and target can ping each other. But I can't get SSH working.
Hostname is 192.168.1.89...Username is root.Port 22.
Win XP is configured as 192.168.1.88.
I have tried with the firewall off in host.
